I started playing guitar at fifteen, and although I enjoyed learning to play, I soon realized that my real passion was in songwriting. After a few years, I set the guitar aside to focus entirely on composing music. That was 20 years ago, and ever since, I’ve been dedicated to writing as much music as possible—primarily in the heavy metal genre, exploring nearly every one of its subgenres. More recently, I've also branched out into producing synthwave tracks, diving into the retro-inspired soundscapes that bring a fresh creative edge alongside my metal compositions.
Spookbaard
I create and share my synthwave music under the name Spookbaard. Inspired by retro vibes, neon lights, and pulsing, driving rhythms, I aim to craft a sound that’s both nostalgic and electric, echoing the energy of ’80s synths with a modern twist. Through Spookbaard, I explore the atmospheric side of synthwave, blending powerful melodies with hard rocking guitars to create immersive songs that transport listeners to a world of shadowy streets and neon reflections. This project lets me experiment with new sounds and styles, adding a unique contrast to my metal compositions.

Following the release of my debut EP, The Voidrunner, this new album expands my sonic journey
even further. I Dream, I Feel, I Am is an instrumental concept album that tells the story of an
android trapped in a monotonous, factory-like existence. As the tracks progress, he begins to
think, to dream, to feel, and finally breaks free from his chains to embrace his freedom.

Metal Flame Music
I create and share my metal music under the name Metal Flame Music.
Alongside writing songs for bands to perform and record, I also compose instrumental tracks that
I plan to release as EPs or even full albums.
Every piece starts in Guitar Pro, where I draft the initial composition, complete with sheet
music, tablature, and a MIDI file. From there, I bring the music to life in a digital audio
workstation (DAW), using a mix of VST plugins and VSTi libraries to build out the final sound.
When I start a new song, my focus is purely on the instrumental elements. Lyrics come later, if at all, allowing me to shape the sound and energy first. I don’t write with a specific audience in mind; instead, I create music that resonates with me as a fan. My work ranges from the fast, aggressive riffs of thrash metal to the epic harmonies of power metal, spanning from classic heavy metal’s relentless pulse to the fierce, chaotic edge of death metal.
Many of my tracks are already available on major streaming platforms and digital stores, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and more.
