Teacher

I currently work in Belgium at VIBO Het Kasteelpark as a teacher of applied computer science. Het Kasteelpark is a specialized secondary school (OV1 & OV4) focused on supporting students with autism spectrum disorder (Type 9) or neuro-motor impairment (Type 4).

I teach introductory courses in object-oriented programming (primarily C#), web development (HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript), and data management (SQL, relational databases, big data and data warehousing) to upper secondary school students. These subjects are core components of the 'Applicatie- en Databeheer' specialization.
While I’m originally a history and political science teacher, in recent years I made the transition to my other great passion—applied computer science—which I now teach exclusively. Over the years, I’ve also taught a wide range of other subjects, including social studies and even future-oriented skills.

As a teacher, I always try to inspire my students and help them believe in themselves and their ability to learn and grow. I strive to continuously educate myself, to constantly try new findings and technologies and introduce them to my students.

Creativity

In my spare time, I enjoy songwriting, game development, and all things creative! Since I was young, I’ve always been drawn to tech-related projects—whether it was building websites, assembling my own PCs, or diving into video games.

In recent years, I decided to start creating my own games and apps, adding to my 15+ years of experience in songwriting. This website serves as a personal showcase, a space where I can share my work and track my creative journey.
